Accuracy
Rankings use only issuer disclosures and real airfares. Here is where the numbers come from, how we check them and how we fix mistakes.
Where card data comes from
Earn rates, monthly caps, spend conditions, annual fees and sign-up bonuses come from each issuer’s official product page and terms. Every card page shows its source link and the date we checked it.
| Country | Cards | Issuers | Last checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| South Korea | 95 | 12 | 2026-10-01 |
| United States | 47 | 6 | 2026-10-01 |
| Japan | 91 | 11 | 2026-10-01 |
| Singapore | 44 | 10 | 2026-10-01 |
| Hong Kong | 38 | 11 | 2026-10-01 |
| Australia | 53 | 12 | 2026-10-01 |
How often we check
- Every card is checked against issuer disclosures each month (last checked 2026-10-01).
- When an issuer changes a card, we update it and list the change in that month’s updates.
- Cards that are no longer offered are removed from the ranking and marked for existing holders.
How we value a mile
We priced real fares on sale for each route length (short, medium, long haul), cabin and season. The value is the median of the cash fare, minus the surcharges and taxes you still pay on an award ticket, divided by the miles that award costs (researched October 2026).
Cells with few samples or dynamic award pricing are marked as estimates on the results page, and are never set higher than another airline’s measured value for the same cell.
Assumptions
- Unless you change it, your spending is split using the national average mix.
- Bonus earn limited to certain merchants assumes a typical share of spending at those merchants.
- If a spend threshold isn’t met, the extra earn is left out.
- Sign-up bonuses are added only when you switch them on.
Limits
- If an issuer changes terms without notice, our update may lag.
- We don’t reflect approval decisions, personal offers or short promotions.
- Airfares and award prices change often, so the value of a mile is a guide, not a promise.
- Information here is for reference only. Check the issuer’s terms before you apply.
